ABOUT FRANKIE

Frankie McNair (she/they) is an award winning comedy gremlin, actor and screen writer based in Naarm/Melbourne.

Frankie won “Best Newcomer” at the 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival with their unique and grubby mix of stand-up , non sequitur sketch comedy and queer vibes (*chef's kiss*). Frankie’s follow up comedy show "An Intimate Evening with Tabitha Booth" received critical acclaim, notably for its writing and Frankie's commitment to such an unhinged character. Frankie’s seen sold out crowds around the country and made TV appearances on Channel 10s Thank God You’re Here, ABC’s Question Everything, and Just For Laughs Sydney 2023.

When they arnt haunting the stage Frankie is haunting the screens. As an actor Frankie has appeared on SBS’s drama series Safe Home, ABC’s Aunty Donna’s Coffee Cafe, as well as being apart of several independent productions including Grouse House’s online original Expanded Minds Only.

As a screenwriter Frankie received competitive Screen Australia funding to develop their online series SNACK and her first short film LAUNDRY was runner up in the SONY Catchlight Film Festival. Currently they are adapting their Tabitha Booth show to an online limited series.

Frankie has a passion for creating new and exciting work that is both deeply heartfelt and incredibly silly.
